Dick Schroeder along with Marlon Steinert were the co-founders of KCMMC. Dick was an amazing cheerleader for the chorus. Always positive and fully engaged in the mission of the chorus, Dick was the catalyst for getting so much accomplished. Without both Dick and Marlon's vision there would be no KCMMC and many charities throughout the area would not have been served as well. Dick met Marlon in the heavenly choir on December 27, 2013.

Dr. Marlon Steinert was instrumental in bringing the KCMMC together. He and his good friend and co-founder Dick Schroeder had been members of the Mennonite Men's Chorus and were driving several hundred miles a week between Raytown, MO and Hillsboro, KS. Marlon and Dick thought there was a need to have a similar men's choir in the Kansas City area and they worked to form KCMMC. Marlon's optimistic attitude and love of this choir will be missed as we lost Marlon to the heavenly choir on July 17, 2010.
